| $5,000Colima Horse Parade Tour
6th – 8th Feb 2020
For this trip, we visit Colima and some of its surrounding areas at the beginning of the famous Fiestas Charrotaurinas de Villa de Alvarez, now entering their 164th year of celebrations. Our visit coincides with the Cabalgata Nocturna, a night-time horse parade which marks the start of the festivities. You will get the chance to witness around 2,000 horses from all over the region, parade through the heart of Colima’s colonial downtown, all from the comfort of reserved seating in front of our hotel – The Best Western Ceballos.
We visit the infamous Petatera – a handmade bullring which is considered to be the world’s largest handicraft, as well as the magic town of Comala, famous for its sweet breads and fruit punches.
We then take you to Suchitlán, home to both Gorgonio the mask carver and numerous coffee plantations, as well as the Ex-Hacienda de Nogueras, now home to a beautiful botanical gardens and museum. Finally, and not to be missed, we pay a visit to the Ron El Classico factory, which produces local, high quality, organic rum. You’ll even get the opportunity to learn how to make the perfect mojito before drinking it!
