Guadalajara is now Mexico’s 3rd city (having not too long ago been passed by Monterrey, NL) and capital of the state of Jalisco. It is home to over 5.3 million people (2023) and is a city rich in culture, craft, food, production and history, including being credited as the birthplace of mariachi music.
Sip on tequila, eat tortas ahogadas with the locals; watch a folkloric dance performance on one of the many plazas; or shop until you heart is content in Tonalá. Finish off your day with dinner in one of the many world class restaurants. Guadalajara is a city of successful compromise between new and old, right on our doorstep!
We offer a selection of trips to the city, from overnight shopping trips and concerts, to 3 day cultural tours including the city’s most famous places and some of the amazing surrounding area’s highlights such as Tequila, Magdalena & Guachimontones archaeological site.
Tours
We currently have 2 different types of tours to offer to Guadalajara and its neighbouring towns: a quick overnight tour to the historic centre and main shopping areas of Tonalá and Tlaquepaque, as well as 3-day tours to a range of places close to the city. For each tour we stay in the heart of the historic centre and use local guides from the city to show us around and teach us about all about the significance of the region in regards to Mexico’s history.
